  Background
  Party Originals offers a variety of fun, unique party themes and step-by-step guides for the do-it-yourself party planner. Party Originals also provides custom party consultant services.

Challenges:
Party Originals required a highly customized content management system for its specialized types of content. In addition, the site would also sell products that are used within the party planning guides.
• Custom Content Management System: Cyber-NY had to build the content management system so that it was easy to use for a non-HTML end user. In addition, the system had to include several custom features that would tie different types of content together along with links to products for sale.
• E-Commerce: The client wanted to be able to sell products on their site as a means of revenue but without maintaining inventory themselves. The client needed to be able to hand-select the items they'd sell and provide various optional items for different types of budgets and party sizes.
• Integration With External Inventory Control: The website inventory needed to reflect the availability of shoes within the manufacturing warehouse.
 
Results:
Cyber-NY built the Party Originals site using a combination of custom functions along with Amazon Web Services (ECS). Below is a list of the results:
• Content Management: Cyber-NY's custom content management system allows the site administrator to add content for virtually every piece of content on the website. Specialized and easy-to-use functions allow certain content such as how-to guides to connect directly with party guides. In addition, specific products and how-to guides can be connected directly with relevant party idea content.
• Ecommerce Solution: Cyber-NY Built the shopping experience around webservices functionality offered by Amazon. This allowed for the shopping experience to be embedded fully within the website's design. A custom product management feature was built to allow the client to select product from the Amazon site, categorize it within the Party Originals site, and tie that product to the correspoding content on the site. The end result is a truly unique shopping cart system that allows the client to raise money through Amazon's affiliate program.
